Pseudo. It’s a word with a clear, definite meaning: “False.” “Insincere.” “Not genuine.” And it’s a perfect word to describe Delbert Hosemann and his career in politics. He consistently refers to himself as a conservative and even a “Reagan guy.” But when the mask is removed he is shown to be far from either one. In fact, in bygone days, Hosemann would have been seen quite clearly as a Scalawag.

During his speech at Neshoba, Delbert the Democrat tried his best to reassure his fellow Mississippians that he was, indeed, a Republican, boasting about his runs for Congress (that he lost) and other so-called evidence of his party loyalty. “I was a Reagan guy,” he said.
But what a person does in life defines who they really are, regardless of what words they use to describe themselves. To borrow a phrase from our Lord, “A tree is known by its fruit.”

As I have written before, Delbert Hosemann is a Democrat hiding in Republican clothing. His former membership in the Democratic Party, his support of the liberal agenda, his willingness to block conservatives bills in the state senate, and his closeness with Democrats are all indications of what he truly believes. True conservatives should be very wary of Delbert Hosemann.

Currently holding the office of Lt. Governor in Mississippi is Delbert Hosemann, who may be a Republican but far from a conservative. In fact, he heads up the “moderate wing” of the party.
