As I have written before, Delbert Hosemann is a Democrat hiding in Republican clothing. His former membership in the Democratic Party, his support of the liberal agenda, his willingness to block conservatives bills in the state senate, and his closeness with Democrats are all indications of what he truly believes. True conservatives should be very wary of Delbert Hosemann.
But there is one relationship Delbert has with a Democrat that should be a major concern for conservatives – Brandon Presley, who is running for governor on the Democratic ticket.
Earlier this year Presley sent this tweet, to which Hosemann responded with a playful chuckle:
Why would a lifelong Democrat get that excited to spend time with a Republican? Because they are birds of a feather!
Yet, even more troubling, when you look at Brandon Presley’s Twitter page, you find his number one follower:
That’s right, it’s Delbert Hosemann! Hosemann is close friends with a man who describes himself as an FDR Democrat!
This should set off alarm bells for Mississippi conservatives! Should Brandon Presley win the governorship in November, along with a Delbert Hosemann win in the race for Lt. Governor, it won’t be a case of divided government and gridlock; they will work together, hand-in-glove to pass a liberal agenda for the state of Mississippi. Take that to the bank!
As one State Senator told me recently, “If Chris McDaniel loses, I fear Mississippi will go blue. If conservatives get beat in August, I fear they won’t come back to the polls in November. If they don’t then Presley wins. Presley and Hosemann will end it for Republicans in our state.”
