Hosemann Campaign Continues to Lie About Abortion Clinic

Delbert Hosemann and his team of wily rascals was recently dealt a severe blow when news broke that Hosemann was once the Director and Vice President of an abortion clinic in Jackson. Documents from the Secretary of State’s office clearly show that Hoseman was, in fact, an officer of the South Jackson Woman’s Clinic.

Note that the clinic in question is listed as a “Profit Corporation.”

A number of media venues have covered the story in various degrees of depth in recent days, including a major article on the site National File. And the Hosemann team reacted with lies and attempts at distraction, a tried-and-true liberal tactic.

As I wrote in an earlier piece:

The Hosemann camp knows that he is very vulnerable on this issue, so they are already lining up excuses and talking points to defend their man. They say he was simply the “counsel” for the clinic … They say the clinic in question did not offer abortions while Delbert was there … Abortions, they say, were performed there only after Hosemann left. But we know that Hosemann remained on the board of the clinic until it closed. It was an abortion clinic, pure and simple. And the Hosemann campaign can produce no documents to refute it.

Yesterday, a new piece of evidence came out that proved Delbert Hosemann has been lying since the initial story broke: He remained on the board as Director/VP as late as 1989:

Again, note the date of this Annual Report: 1989. And remember, the clinic was sued in 1987 for a botched abortion. Trying to strike out Delbert’s name does not change the fact of the document. He was still the Director/VP throughout its existence, despite his lies.

The only “evidence” the Hosemann camp has released is a rather curious statement by Larry P. Lipscomb, Delbert’s partner in the clinic. The statement, issued in 1998 during Hosemann’s failed run for the US House, was an attempt to cover-up his involvement in the abortion mill.

It must be noted that Lipscomb was the doctor who performed the abortions at the clinic and who was once fined for dumping medical waste on the side of the road.

So the Hosemann campaign’s only support is a doctor who killed unborn children in the womb and who was caught dumping medical waste, as well as medical records, in a ditch on the Natchez Trace.

Yet legal documents clearly show that Delbert Hosemann was a Director and a Vice President in an abortion clinic and, making matters infinitely worse, he may even have profited from the deaths of unborn Mississippi children. But he was clearly an investor in the clinic.

The Hosemann campaign has yet to release any official documents that Delbert left the clinic at any time, nor have they released any documents that show that the clinic did not conduct abortions during those early years, as they claim. They haven’t done so because there are no documents to release. The only thing they have released are more lies, mudslinging attacks, and thinly-veiled threats.

Unlike Chris McDaniel, who has been a rock-solid opponent of abortion throughout his entire life, Delbert Hosemann is a former Democrat who has not always been as pro-life as he claims. And his campaign continues to conduct itself in a manner that does not reflect honor, decency, and integrity. Instead, they continue lie to the people of Mississippi about the obvious truth.
